Protests against partial mobilization in Kuban (Krasnodar Territory) have practically disappeared, which is due both to the tightening of legislation and the exodus of the protesting masses, believes Andrei Gusij, journalist, commenting on an attempt to burn the commissariat (military enlistment office) in Goryachy Klyuch. Protest moods linger among small population groups amid the majority’s neutral attitude towards the authorities, noted Gennady Podlesny, a political analyst.
On October 6, an unknown person set fire to the building of the military commissariat in the town of Goryachy Klyuch; the staff managed to put out the fire before the firefighters arrived.
The dynamics of the demonstrations in the Krasnodar Territory amid the mobilization indicate a decrease in intensity, said Andrei Gusijthe RIA editor “FederalPress”.
Earlier, the region has seen cases of damage to cars of Special Military Operation (SMO) supporters.
Participants in such protest actions can be motivated from the outside, since there are no internal factors in the Krasnodar Territory that could provoke a confrontation with the authorities, Gennady Podlesnyconsiders the director of the “Center for Applied Sociology and Political Science” of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization (ANCO), a member of the Public Chamber of the Krasnodar Territory.
