Contactless visitor entry: The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way a lot of things are done. The need to maintain distance has caused people to rethink their routines and the people with whom they interact. Most people have turned to contactless deliveries to get essential items delivered right to their homes without having to approach a potential spreader. However, this influx of delivery people has put security guards at risk of infection, especially in corporations and residential communities. To protect security guards, ADDA’s management application has now launched a GateKeeper feature that will allow contactless entry of visitors.

In a statement, the company said it aims to reduce contact between visitors and security guards in residential communities by up to 80%.

ADDA said the feature is easy to use and was designed in a self-service style. Users should scan the QR Code assigned to the housing community, after which the visitor will be taken to the registration form. Once the form is completed, the visitor would receive an OTP, which would complete the visitor verification process. The company said visitors would be able to complete the entire process without even needing to download the ADDA app.

ADDA believes the benefits of the feature would help curb the spread of the virus, but it would also have other benefits, including reducing waiting time at company doors by 85%, the possibility of simultaneous check-ins by multiple visitors, promoting confidentiality. data using automated digital verification, and even reducing the need for material or human resources by around 50%.

ADDA Product Manager Krishanu Mukherjee said the solution is simple and very effective, which would help security guards maintain social distancing, without any security compromises. Mukherjee said the company’s pilot implementation revealed that security guards and visitors alike are eager to adopt this system because of the multiple benefits it has.
