Mangaluru, July 2: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Mangaluru, hosted ‘Edify’, a state-level postgraduate intercollegiate management festival on Tuesday, June 28 at the institute’s campus in Bondel, Mangaluru. The festival included competitions in the areas of human resources, marketing, finance, best manager, public relations and business quiz. Students from 21 PG colleges in and around Mangalore participated in the event.

PC Ramesh, Senior Vice President and Head of Delivery, Glow Touch Technologies was the keynote guest at the groundbreaking ceremony. Vathika Pai, Owner, Vathika International Travels chaired the program. Movie star Arjun Kapikad and Gaana Bhat, actor and tech support manager at Yahoo were the celebrity guests.
In his keynote address, PC Ramesh informed the students that continuous preparation and skill development are essential to succeed in the corporate world. “Effective communication, organizing your thoughts, listening skills and the ability to lead the interview through your responses are necessary to enter the corporate world,” he said.

Arjun Kapikad shared his experience of attending college events that helped him succeed in the film industry in Tulu. Gaana Bhat encouraged the students to follow their passion and pursue what they love.

In her presidential address, Vathika Pai said that attending events will help students improve their knowledge and develop their relationship skills.
The Director of the Institute, Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri, welcomed the assembly. Nanditha Sunil, Edify’s Faculty Coordinator gave a briefing on the event. Mahima Pai gave a vote of thanks. Arpitha was the master of ceremonies.

Farewell function
Laxman Shenoy, Global Human Resources Director of Tetherfi Technologies, was the main guest at the farewell and awards night. Dr. Manjula KT, vice president of the Women’s National Education Society, chaired the program. Manel Annappa Nayak, Vice President, Womens National Education Society and Shyamsunder Kamath, WNES Board Member were present.

In his address, Laxman Shenoy said the profession is full of competition but the opportunities are also huge. He advised students to prepare well for on-campus interviews and take full advantage of corporate training opportunities offered by the company after getting a job.

In his presidential address, Dr. Manjula KT emphasized on holistic education which focuses on the development of body, mind, intellect and spirit.
Dr. Shilpi Saha, assistant professor hosted the gathering. Nanditha Sunil, Edify’s faculty coordinator reported on the event. Mohiyuddeen Hafzal gave a vote of thanks. Preema Lasrado was the anchor of the program.
