The Noida administration on Monday bulldozed an illegal construction at the residence of politician Shrikant Tyagi, who was seen abusing and pushing a woman in a viral video.
Authorities and police personnel reached Grand Omaxe company in Noida-93 B sector on Monday morning and demolished an encroachment by Tyagi, who claims to be a Kisan Morcha member of the BJP. The BJP, however, denied any connection to Tyagi.

Police also arrested Tyagi supporters, who created a row at the housing company.
In the viral video, it was seen that an argument broke out between Tyagi and a woman a few days ago over planting saplings. According to the video, the politician wanted to plant saplings but the women objected, citing violation of the rules. However, Tyagi claimed that it was within his rights to plant saplings.
He was also seen hurling slurs and assaulting the woman during the incident.
Tyagi has been on the run ever since and a search operation is underway to catch him.
Days after the incident, Tyagi’s supporters created a ruckus in the building complex, shouting slogans and asking for the woman’s address.
Due to the incident, Noida Phase 2 Station Manager Sujit Upadhyay was also suspended for his role in the negligence case.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) also called for the politician’s arrest and asked for police protection for the woman.
