Marking another milestone in its journey of professional accountancy education in Sri Lanka, the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA Sri Lanka) was able to gain recognition for the Accounting and Business Management Diploma course ( DABM) at NVQ level 6. – Higher National Diploma (HND) level equivalence status from the Higher and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
The CMA Sri Lanka is the national institute of professional management accountancy in Sri Lanka, incorporated under Act No. 23 of Parliament of 2009. The institution was originally established as the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka in 1999, with technical assistance from CMA Canada. (now CPA Canada) and financial assistance from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and inaugurated on June 3, 2000.
